In Hawaii, if both parties agree to the terms of the divorce, nobody has to go to court. All the process is done by filing the necessary papers.
Can a spouse prevent me from getting a divorce?
Hawaii has a no fault divorce law. The state does not consider it their role to forcefully keep a person married. If a person wants a divorce, the court will grant it, regardless of the other party's objection.
I have heard the bankruptcy laws changed and that it is difficult for a person to file for bankruptcy. Is it still possible to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy?
While it is true that a few more conditions have been constructed, many people will income less than $50,000 a year can still file for bankruptcy under chapter 7. Considering that an illness, and sometimes the credit card companies charging 30% interest or more, a person needs a chance for a fresh start.
